There have been increasing calls for clinical evidence for older adults. Understanding the impact of older adult-specific clinical trials on clinical practice may facilitate discussion around prioritizing and implementing such trials. We aimed to estimate the effect of older adult-specific clinical trials on the prescription level using a phase 3 trial of bevacizumab in colorectal cancer (CRC) (AVEX) and irradiation in breast cancer (CALGB9343) as case studies.
