摘要
Spirochromanone linked 1,2,3-triazoles and spirochromanone conjugates containing bis-1,2,3-triazoles were synthesized for the first time and are evaluated for possible anti-bacterial activity. In this work, preparation of triazole moieties mediated by a catalytic amount of beta-cyclodextrin starting from propargylated spirochromanone is reported. The approach involves a simple, efficient click chemistry method, inexpensive phase transfer catalyst, and uses a green solvent. Though the activity is less promising, it paves a route for preparation of Spirochromanone linked 1,2,3-triazoles and spirochromanone conjugates containing bis-1,2,3-triazoles, where structural modification can possibly result in compounds with better activity. All the compounds were characterized by H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, and mass spectral studies.
