Identification of Hub Genes and Molecular Mechanism Associated With the Progression of Pediatric Low Grade Gliomas
semanticscholar(2022)
Abstract
Abstract Background: To explore hub genes and underlying molecular mechanism about the malignant progression of pediatric low grade gliomas (PLGG). Methods: The microarray were obtained from Gene Expression Omnibus database and hub genes were identified by bioinformatics analysis. Results: Ten hub genes were confirmed to increase with the development of PLGG, and their high expression was correlated with poor prognosis. Additionally, the encoding protein expression level of CDK1, KIF11, TRIP13, MAD2L1, PBK were significantly higher in high grade glioma tissues than that in PLGG. Finally, functional enrichment analysis demonstrated these genes were mainly enriched in cell cycle activities. Conclusion: Our results offer novel insights of the molecular mechanisms and identify potential biomarkers or therapeutic targets for PLGG progression.
