Abstract
The use of new polymeric binder materials on the water and alcohol base in electrochemical power sources is still a relevant and present-day issue. Electrochemical capacitor performances are influenced by binder types and contents in the electrodes. The electrochemical performances of activated carbon based electrochemical capacitors with different polymeric materials such as polyvinylbutyral, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinylflouride and polytetrafluoroethylene were investigated by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge - discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The results obtained can be used for the creation of a new production technique of electrodes and decrease in the electrochemical capacitors prime cost.
