Abstract
•Evidence map is an emerging tool and increasingly used to identify, organize, and summarize the distribution of scientific evidence.•The evidence map could help us know the need for future research, as well as areas of opportunity for guideline development.•Recommendations on offloading of pressure and wound care were consistent, and recommendations for choice of shoes were not accurate.•Evidence for adjunctive therapies is still sparse and inconsistent, thus more research is needed to evaluate its effect.
