Le chimiste, le sociologue et les résidus médicamenteux  : l’interdisciplinarité saisie par la pratique

The rising preoccupations about health-environment problems interrogate the analytical and methodological limits of the natural sciences and of the humanities and social sciences. In this way, the interdisciplinary seems to be a promising heuristical way to comprehend the complexity of these emerging risks. However, the interdisciplinary is built and not declared. This paper aims to analyze the interdisciplinary by the practice that is to say through the actors who apply it. we will present a reflexive analysis of interdisciplinary from the point of view of sociologists who work with chemists in the multidisciplinary program RESEAU which analyses the contam- ination of aquatic environment by pharmaceutical compounds in the hospital. we will show that, far from a convergence process, interdisciplinary falls within in complex processes which combine times of specialization and permeability of the disciplinary boundaries. As such, we will use the notion of mereologic knowledge to show these articulation moments between the search of holistic knowledge and moments of disciplinary specificity.
