Background: Cytomorphology is the gold standard for quick assessment of peripheral blood (PB) and bone marrow samples in hematological neoplasms and is used to orchestrate specific diagnostics. Artificial Intelligence (AI) promises to provide an unbiased way of interrogating blood smear data as reproducibility varies across labs.
