Optimal Scheduling Algorithm Based on Emergency Priority for in Vitro Diagnostic Devices

In Vitro Diagnosis devices (IVD) are made of hundreds of parts. At present, time-slot scheduling method makes some parts of the device idle when they are working. Therefore, this paper proposes an emergency priority scheduling optimization algorithm. Firstly, a linear programming method is used to obtain the optimal solution with optimization objective of the shortest duration. When emergency samples arrive, rescheduling is used to ensure the effectiveness of the test. Taking a fluorescence immunoassay as an example, the time-slot scheduling method and emergency priority scheduling optimization algorithm are compared. The results show that he latter is 3/min faster than that of the former. When an emergency is added, the latter produces results in time. The proposed method has at least 12 hours MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure). This proves that the proposed method is more effective.
