1D and 2D b and b baryons

Recently, scientists have achieved significant progress in experiments searching for excited Xi(b) and Lambda(b) baryons such as Lambda(b)(6072), Lambda(b)(6146), Lambda(b)(6152), Xi(b)(6227), Xi(b)(6100), Xi(b)(6327), and Xi(b)(6333). Motivated by these achievements, we systematically analyze the 1D and 2D states of Xi(b) and Lambda(b) baryons using the method of quantum chromodynamics sum rules. By constructing three types of interpolating currents, we calculate the masses and pole residues of these heavy baryons with different excitation modes: (L-rho, L-lambda) = (0, 2), (2,0), and (1,1). Subsequently, we decode the inner structures of Lambda(b)(6146), Lambda(b)(6152), Xi(b)(6327), and Xi(b)(6333) and favor assigning these states as the 1D baryons with the quantum numbers (L-rho, L-lambda) = (0, 2) and 3/2(+), 5/2(+), 3/2(+), and 5/2(+), respectively. In addition, the predictions for the masses and pole residues of the other 1D and 2D Xi(b) and Lambda(b) baryons in this paper will be use-ful for studying D-wave bottom baryons in the future.
