Abstract
•Plasma treatment modified evidently the surface property of catalyst.•Cr6+ species were favorable to generate through plasma treatment.•The low temperature activity was improved over the plasma treated samples.•The sample SrCr/SiO2#H2 showed the best initial activity.•Coke deposition caused the catalytic deactivation.
