In vivo and In vitro enhancement of Asiaticoside in Centellaasiatica(L.) Urban

摘要
Present investigation was conducted in order to enhancement of asiaticoside in Centellaasiatica. The plants, grown in humus, produced enhanced asiaticoside content as compared to irrigated garden soil or humus: soil mix-­‐ ture grown plants. MS supplemented with BAP (1.0 mg/l) and Adenine sulphate (72 mg/l) produced 88.83% asiati-­‐ coside of in vivo humus grown plants. Addition of salt (NaCl) to the medium reduced asiaticoside content in re-­‐ generated leaves to about 50% of salt free medium.
