Predicting intraoperative bleeding in patients undergoing a hepatectomy using multiple machine learning and deep learning techniques

•This is the first study to employ multiple machine learning and deep learning techniques to predict and evaluate intraoperative bleeding in patients with liver cancer.•The XGB algorithm suggests a strong correlation between albumin, globulin, calcium ion and platelet count with intraoperative blood loss.
