摘要
Full scale compartment fire studies have been conducted with plywood board as lining material on walls. The compartment was of size 3.6 m long × 2.4 m wide × 2.4 m high with a doorway of size 0.8 m wide × 2.0 m high with hood as per ISO 9705. Standard propane burner ignition source of size 0.3 m × 0.3 m was set to produce a heat release rate (HRR) of 40 kW in the first 5 min and of 160 kW in the next 10 min at the room corner. K –type thermocouples, heat flux sensor, pressure transducers and flue gas analyzers were used to measure temperatures, radiation, differential pressure and toxic species concentrations of hot gases at different locations within the compartment and hood. Peak heat release rates, flashover condition and gas concentrations were measured in transient condition and compared with tenability limits of fire hazards.
