现代时期的东北地域文学发展曾一度被研究者们"忽视".其中,穆儒丐等人在现代文学时期大量的文学创作与文本翻译呈现出别样的风貌,使东北地域的文学发展成为中国现代文学整体序列中的一部分,这些在"流动"过程中的知识分子,在关内和关外搭建起"中心之都"与"边缘之地"的桥梁,为文学的传播与发展做出了积极的贡献.
