摘要
The inductive pulsed power supply (IPPS) is an alternative to capacitive one due to its high energy storage density and low power requirement for prime power source. An inductive pulsed power supply capable of energy recovery is proposed in this paper. Its working principle is analyzed first in detail. The theoretical analysis and simulation results have verified the superiority of the novel IPPS in recovering the residual energy and shortening the falling edge time of output current. The simulation results show that the energy recovered by the novel IPPS accounts for 54.6% of the initial energy storage. Compared with the traditional one, the falling edge time of the novel IPPS's output current (from peak to half of peak) is shortened from 0.67 ms to 0.24 ms, and the falling edge time (from peak to 20% of peak) is shortened from 4.66 ms to 0.47 ms.
