This method greatly reduces processing time and memory RAM usage by formulating the equivalent layer in a regular spaced grid. In this case, the linear system has a specific configuration known as symmetric Block-Toeplitz Toeplitz-Block (BTTB). A BTTB matrix can be stored using only its first column and can be embedded in a symmetric Block-Circulant Circulant-Block (BCCB) matrix, that also only need its first column to be stored. By using this single matrix column it is possible to calculate its eigenvalues using a 2D Fast Fourier Transform and to carry the matrix-vector product of the forward modeling in the equivalent-layer technique. This results in a very fast estimation of the mass distribution, making this method suitable to process large datasets with finegrid meshes. We show results of estimated equivalent sources for synthetic tests and also for real data from Carajás, Brazil, demonstrating gravity data processing for very large datasets at low computational cost.Presentation Date: Tuesday, October 13, 2020Session Start Time: 8:30 AMPresentation Time: 10:35 AMLocation: 362CPresentation Type: OralKeywords: gravity, algorithm, airborne surveyPermalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/segam2020-3426849.1FiguresReferencesRelatedDetails SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2020ISSN (print):1052-3812 ISSN (online):1949-4645Copyright: 2020 Pages: 3887 publication data© 2020 Published in electronic format with permission by the Society of Exploration GeophysicistsPublisher:Society of Exploration Geophysicists HistoryPublished Online: 30 Sep 2020 CITATION INFORMATION Diego Takahashi, Vanderlei C.
