Lemur conservation and introduction on Mbouzi Island (Mayotte)
REVUE D ECOLOGIE-LA TERRE ET LA VIE(2002)
摘要
Mbouzi is a 84 ha islet located near Mamoudzou (Mayotte), covered by a dry forest locally modified by various ancient human settlements. The "Maki", Eutemur fulvus mayottensis, has been recently introduced into this islet. In the present note, we discuss the feasibility of a long-term conservation project taking into account the presence of some important plant species and the necessary opening of part of this islet to ecotourism.
