278. Therapeutic Activities of IL-12 Gene- Modified Macrophages Embedded in Gelatin Matrix Hemostatic Sealant (floseal®) in a Mouse Model of Residual Prostate Cancer

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVE: Despite improved surgical techniques local tumor recurrence after radical prostatectomy is not uncommon. We previously reported that IL-12 gene modified macrophages (IL-12/M|[Phi]|) suppress tumor growth and metastasis in pre-clinical mouse models of prostate cancer (Satoh et al, Cancer Res., 63: 7853-7860, 2003).
