The invention discloses a storage method and system for material gene engineering data. The method comprises the steps that data information input by a user is acquired; properties of the data information are analyzed, and a data property information sequence is obtained; according to the order of the properties in the data property information sequence, a field container model is utilized to generate corresponding field containers sequentially according to the properties in the data property information sequence; all the field containers are combined into one set, and a data container is obtained; data fields in the data information are recognized; the data in all the data fields sequentially corresponds to the corresponding field containers, and containerized data is obtained; and the data in all the field containers is sequentially converted into key value data, and therefore the data information is contained in the data container and then stored in a database. Through the storage method and system for the material gene engineering data, a user is not limited by a storage structure during data storage.
