Synthesis and Characterization of Active Cathode Material of LiFeSixP1-xO4/C with Variation of Doping Si Ions

Abstract
LiFeSixP1-xO4/C (x=0, 0.05, 0.1, and 0.15) has successfully synthesized by a solid-state reaction method. The material were calcinated at 700 oC then sintered at 900 oC in a Nitrogen environment. Tapioca and CH3COOH as the carbon sources mixed with weight ratio 2:8 then carbonized at 700 oC in a Nitrogen environment. Characterization was performed using XRD, SEM-EDS, CV and CD tests. The result shows that the samples have a pure olivine LiFePO4phase and the largest capacity and the excellent performance approached in the sample with x=0.15 with a specific discharge capacity of 35.51 mAh/g based on half-cell testing.
