Abstract
•Pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy (PIPAC) is a new form of intraabdominal drug delivery.•Patients were treated with PIPAC in a phase I dose escalation study.•No dose limiting toxicities were found after 3 escalation steps.•PIPAC with doxorubicin (2.1 mg/m2) and cisplatin (10.5 mg/m2) may be safely applied into the abdomen.
