Abstract
•Nanocrystalline CZTS particles were grown by an ultrasonic assisted sol-gel method.•XRD and Raman studies reveal that the synthesised material is pure CZTS.•TEM/HRTEM studies show that the grain size is around 2–4 nm.•The method is suitable for ink printing applications.
