Separation of asymmetrically capped double-decker silsesquioxanes mixtures

Abstract
Condensation reaction of two different chlorosilanes with the tetrasilanol of double-decker shaped silsesquioxane was performed. The reaction resulted in a mixture of three products including an asymmetric structure that can be isolated with liquid chromatography. Ratio of these three products depends of the type of chlorosilane used.
