Uncertainty propagation in coupled hydrological models using winding stairs and null-space Monte Carlo methods

•A framework for uncertainty propagation in coupled models is presented.•The framework relies on concurrent setup, multi-variable calibration, and statistical analysis.•The framework was tested in two test cases and demonstrated its effectiveness for both cases.
