Predictive value of ankle brachial index and homocysteine in type 2 diabetes with acute myocardial infarction

Objective To study the predictive value of Ankle brachial index(ABI)and homocysteine(Hcy)in type 2diabetes with acute myocardial infarction.Methods 30cases of observation group were type 2diabetes with acute myocardial infarction, and 30cases of control group were not with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events.ABI and Hcy were observed.ResultsThere were no statistical differences in the average blood pressure(BP),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2hPG),cholesterol(CHO),triglycerides(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)between two groups(P0.05).The average ABI of observation group was 1.03±0.10,and which of control group was 1.10±0.06,there was statistically significant differences between two groups(P0.01).The average Hcy of observation group was 12.59± 4.26umol/L,and which of control group was 9.65±2.42umol/L,there was statistically significant differences between two groups(P0.01).There was negative correlation between ABI and Hcy(r=-0.292,P0.05).Conclusion Determination of patients,Hcy and ABI,can effectively predict myocardial infarction in patients with type 2diabetes in the future,reduce the incidence of acute myocardial infarction.
