Abstract
•Sudden decrease in ETCO2 during anhepatic phase in liver transplantation followed by a sudden increase during reperfusion is usually noted.•There is a positive correlation between the changes in % in cardiac output and ETCO2 with a Pearson coefficient r = 0.741.•It can be used to predict the changes of the cardiac output in % during anhepatic phase of liver transplantation.
