Abstract
We investigate the baryon spectra and the Lambda(1405)in the minimum realistic quark model, involving a confinement potential, a one-gluon exchange potential and pi, K and sigma-exchange potentials, with a set of parameters determined to reproduce the baryon ground states. The five-body problem as q(4)(q) over bar -state as well as the three-body problem as q(3)-state be solved dynamically by using the stchastic variational technique. We find that the energy of q(4)(s) over bar -state as A(1405) become lower than that of q(3)-state in our model.
