Synthesis of FeMnNiO4NTC thermistor by Pechini method

Pechini method was used to prepare FeMnNiO4 oxide of negative temperature coefficient (NTC). Calcination of as-synthesized powder at 700° C in air led to the formation of single-phase oxide of spinel structure. The powder compact was sintered into the dense at the temperatures above 1 150° C. The Particle size of the oxide powder and the NiO phase content in the sintered ceramic were adjusted by enthyl glycol content in the starting solution, thus the control of the electric properties of the thermistor could be realized.
