Coke thermal property control at Baoshan Iron and Steel Co.

Based on the comprehensive study of the properties of cokes producing from 64 kinds of coal blend and 19 kinds of coal in a simulated coke oven, the influence of coal property on coke thermal properties was clarified, and a coke thermal property control model was established. The practice has proved that the model can predict the coke thermal property, showing that for the error for CRI is <3% and that for CSR is <4%. The model can be used as a guide for production.
