Abstract
H2S removal from analog gas by chelated iron was investigated in a counter-current rotating packed bed. The influences of gas-liquid flow ratio, high gravity factor, gas flow rate and mass concentration of H2S in feed gas on H2S removal efficiency were studied. The desulfurization properties of counter-current rotating packed bed and cross-flow rotating packed bed were analysed comparatively. It was illustrated that counter-current rotating packed bed with the H2S removal efficiency of more than 99% was more suitable to fine desulfurization for low-concentration H2S compared with cross-flow rotating packed bed. Compared with the traditional tower equipment for desulfurization, counter-current rotating packed bed desulfurization method showed a potential industrial application due to its great advantages of higher desulfurization efficiency and gas-liquid flow ratio, smaller volume, etc.
