The effects of lectin from sponge Craniella australiensis on Saccharomyces cerevisiae

摘要
In order to investigate the activity of lectin from sponge Craniella australiensis (CAL), it stimulative effect on ethanol production of yeast cells was investigated. Ethanol production of yeast increased from 3.1 to 5.7% (v/v), when CAL concentration was increased from 0 to 27.5 mg/L (w/v) at 72 h. The results showed that CAL is the potential yeast stimulator.
