Antioxidation changes of cardiac muscle in rats with hyperthyroidism

ObjectiveTo study the antioxidation changes of cardiac muscle in rats with hyperthyroidism.Methods An animal model of rat with hyperthyroidism was established, and cardiac muscle SOD,MDA and GPX were detected by enzymology.ResultsThe content of SOD and GPX of hyperthyroidism group was significantly lower than that of the normal group(t=8.50,4.52;P0.01),while the content of MDA was significantly higher(t=2.46,P0.05).ConclusionHyperthyroidism depresses the antioxidation action of cardiac muscle in the rat.
