Mycoplasma pneumoniae as causative organism of childhood CNS Infections

Mycoplasma pneumoniae (M.p.) is a common causative agent of respiratory tract infections in children. Furthermore, amongst a wide variety of other extra pulmonary manifestations encephalitis may occur occasionally. We report exemplary on two children with different neurological symptoms caused by underlying encephalitis due to M.p. infection.
