Permian Elythidae (Brachiopoda) from Western Australia

Representatives of the Elythidae are described from the Permian sequences of the Perth, Carnarvon and Canning Basins of Western Australia. The new taxa are Spirelytha fredericksi sp. nov., Spirelytha miloradovichi sp. nov., Spirelytha stepanoviana sp. nov. and Phricodothyris occidentalis sp. nov. The type species of Spirelytha is renamed Spirelytha pavlovae nom. nov. Additional occurrences of Spirelytha are documented. Content of the family Elythidae is briefly reviewed
