Abstract
The aim of the present research has been to examine the effectiveness of teacher implementation of a hypermedia application for children with severe learning disabilities. LT125ThinkingMind is an application developed to support pre-mathematical concepts learning for children who experience severe learning disabilities. Thirty three teachers participated in the study. They had been attending a course on special needs and had received instruction on the application during one semester. They were asked to develop tasks using the application as part of a class exam. The results indicated that most of the teachers have a sound approach in the implementation of the application as evident by their aims and task development. Problems emerge when they try to use the application for purposes it is not designed for and they do not comply with its conventions. Both teachers and their instructors should be aware of the issues raised and incorporate them in future work.
