摘要
Terahertz (THz) imaging technology has shown powerful potential for applications in biological sensing due to characteristics of the THz radiation. However, the measurement accuracy is always restricted by the low spatial resolution of THz imaging. In this work, a THz microscopy based on a cross-filament was utilized to inspect different biological tissues. A quasi sub-wavelength resolution was realized without approaching the sampe surface with any actual devices. By using the technique, fine tissue structures of two plant leaves and two animal bodies were precisely identified and analyzed from their temporal, spectral, and absorption images. Furthermore, possible optimization solutions were also discussed in detail for enhancing the imaging performance. This work demonstrated a novel and practical inspection method for pushing the development of THz biological applications.
