Considering the heterogeneous coal rock conditions and nonlinear characteristics of electrohydraulic drilling system of drilling robot for rockburst prevention, it generates tough challenges of drilling control for developing the borehole drilling efficiency and adaptability. This paper deals with the borehole drilling characteristics analysis of an electrohydraulic drilling system of drilling robot for rockburst prevention. In this study, a drilling dynamic model is constructed for a drilling system that considers the coal rock features and drilling motion characteristic. A drilling control strategy is proposed to develop the borehole efficiency. The results of experiments revealed that the proposed control strategy is more effective within a certain range by changing cutting force. And the tracking error can be controlled in a little range. This study provides a reference for intelligent drilling of drilling robot for rockburst prevention and a method for analyzing the drilling characteristics.
