Online Calculation Method for Power Adjustment and Thermal Stability Limit of Multiple Sections in Series

摘要
With the integration of large-scale intermittent new energy, there are significant changes in the operation mode of generations in different seasons. Thus, during the peak period of new energy generation or load, the thermal stability problem after a N-1 fault seriously restricts the power transmission capacity of important sections or channels of the power grid. However, for a complex channel with multi sections in series coupling structure, the current Dynamic Security Assessment (DSA) system cannot calculate its thermal stability limit. Dispatchers can only rely on their own experience to estimate power transmission limit and determine control measures of these sections. In response to this issue, this paper proposes a method for calculating the thermal stability limit of multiple sections in series coupled structure, in which the generator resistance is considered when adjusting the section power, thereby providing relevant quantitative auxiliary support for dispatchers.
