摘要
This paper presents the Monte-Carlo based approach for modeling and analyzing systematic and random errors that can be employed during the deployment of the ribs of a Radial Rib type reflector antenna. Systematic and random errors are introduced in the rib deployment by defining the periodic and random function of the rotation w.r.t. the anchoring point of the ribs. Both functions have random variables following the uniform probability distribution. The RMS of the reflecting gore surface with such errors in the ribs and its corresponding gain loss is computed. Here, such modeling and analysis are used to implement Monte-Carlo based analysis by running a large number of cases of the errors and the corresponding probability density functions are developed to estimate the impact of the errors on the secondary gain performance. Both types of errors are analyzed for the $0.05^{0}$ and $0.1^{0}$ tolerance ranges in the rib deployment. It is concluded that systematic error has more impact and is more critical to the antenna performance than random error.
