On Optimization of Multi-machine PSS Parameters Tuning Based on SCSO Algorithm

This paper addresses the optimization of power system stabilizer parameters for improving the stability of multi-machine power system. A relatively new algorithm, namely sand cat swarm optimization, is utilized to optimize some control parameters of power system stabilizer. Compared with some relative methods, the power system stabilizer based on the proposed sand cat swarm optimization algorithm can realize the stability more quickly. Finally, the validity of obtained methods are substantiated by a IEEE 4-machine 2-zone system.
