摘要
This paper presents a novel, Radio over Ethernet (RoE) based, real-time, flexible radio spectral probe designed to address the growing demands for diverse wireless communication systems. The proposed system architecture encompasses a remotely reconfigurable design with a softwaredefined radio (SDR) platform, integrating field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA), radio frequency (RF) front-end, and an open fronthaul. A simultaneous multi-band spectrum occupancy measurement campaign in an indoor environment using the proposed spectral probe is conducted. The measurement results are presented to demonstrate the behavior and performance of the proposed architecture. To the best of the author's knowledge, this is the first work in which a real-time, open, and remotely reconfigurable FPGA-based spectral probe is presented.
