The Characteristics and Prospects of Satellite Network Engineering in the Era of Big Data

There are several stages in the satellite network engineering includes constellation deployment, satellite networking, network operation and maintenance. It is a complex system engineering with multi-disciplinary, multi-technology and multi-system coordination. In view of the differences between satellite network engineering and traditional ground network engineering in design, construction and operation and maintenance, the characteristics of satellite network engineering were summarized, the influence of big data technology on constellation management, network construction and network operation and maintenance in satellite network engineering was analyzed. The potential application scenarios of big data technology in satellite network were prospected, which has certain reference significance for integrating big data technology into satellite network engineering practice.
