摘要
This study introduces an innovative haptic system designed to extend haptic interaction to vibrating objects that are beyond human reach. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, including high-speed active vision and digital image correlation analysis, the system achieves real-time monitoring of intricate, high-frequency vibrations. This allows remote users to immerse themselves in these vibrations, experiencing sensations as if in direct physical contact with the object. The system incorporates a high-speed camera, a mirror drive, and a trackball interface, enabling users to adjust their perspective of the vibrating object. A high-speed uniaxial vibrator then transmits haptic feedback to the user’s finger. Empirical experiments involving various vibrating objects, including heated electric kettles and pump motors, validate the system’s precision in capturing and relaying vibrations, offering an authentic and realistic haptic encounter. This novel haptic system holds transformative potential across industries such as manufacturing. By facilitating remote perception and manipulation of high-speed machinery, it can significantly enhance worker safety and efficiency. This research marks a significant advancement in haptic systems tailored for remote vibration perception, opening avenues for virtual tactile experiences and distant control paradigms. The study not only expands the horizons of virtual tactile engagement but also charts a course toward redefining remote-control paradigms, ushering in a new era of human-machine interaction.
