Global and Regional Burden of Alcohol-associated Liver Disease and Alcohol Use Disorder in the Elderly

•More than nine million elderly people had AUD, over three million had cirrhosis, and nearly 70,000 had liver cancer due to alcohol•ALD was more common among the elderly than in the general population, while AUD was similar between the two groups.
