FDTD Method Analysis of Moving Antennas Above Rough Surface

In this research, an analysis method using the FDTD method is proposed for the Doppler shift that occurs during radio communication between antennas moving over a rough surface at equal velocities. Whenever there is radio communication between vehicles or between ships, the road surface or the water surface is the path of the radio waves. And because automobiles and ships are moving with speed, they are unavoidably reflected by the road surface. Depending on the relative speeds of the automobile and the road surface, these reflected waves are affected by the Doppler shift. To achieve stable communication, these reflections have to be analyzed. This study focuses on the quantitative analysis of the Doppler shift using the FDTD method. The road surface is treated as a rough surface considering its actual geometry. The analysis frequency in this study is 27.9 GHz.
