In order to study thermo-physiological reactions and changes in cellular functions of living animals and humans induced by millimeter-wave exposure, a novel localized exposure system at 60 GHz was developed using a spatial synthetic technique. We have confirmed that the exposure intensity at the desired area was sufficient to achieve desired temperature rise on the skin surface of living mice.
