High Density Feed Network Arrangement for E-Band Dual-Polarized Antenna Array

This paper presents a wideband dual polarization feed network in E-band. By multiplexing substrate integrated coaxial line (SICL) into substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) and stripline, the function of dual-polarization feed under high density is realized. The whole feed network is fed using WR-12 waveguide, therefore, the waveguide to SIW and the waveguide to stripline transitions need to be designed. In this paper, the SIW and stripline feed network of 1:8 way power divider are designed. The whole feed network consists of two transitions and two feed networks of 1:8 way power divider. The results show that the V-pol feed network can achieve a wide bandwidth from 65GHz to 78.5GHz and the insertion loss is below 0.7dB per stage. The H-pol feed network can achieve a wide bandwidth from 66.8GHz to 77.5GHz and the insertion loss is below 1dB per stage. The proposed feed network has the properties of wideband, low insertion loss and high density, and can be used to feed millimeter-wave dual-polarized antennas.
