A Current Harmonic Suppression Method for Inductively Coupled Power Transfer System Based on Auxiliary Pickup Module

In order to suppress the output current harmonics of high-frequency inverter in inductively coupled power transfer (ICPT) system for magnetic levitation train, a current harmonic suppression method based on auxiliary pickup module is proposed in this paper. When the resonant frequency of the auxiliary pickup module is designed to be $2{\mathrm {n}}+1({\mathrm {n}}=1,2,3, \ldots)$ times of the fundamental frequency, the amplitude of the corresponding current harmonic and the total harmonic distortion (THD) can be reduced. Finally, an ICPT system based on series-series (SS) compensation circuit with the resonant frequency of 30 kHz for main circuit and 90 kHz for auxiliary pickup module is built. The THD of the output current is reduced by 12.33% with the proposed method, so the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation results.
