Characteristics Analysis of a Novel Three-Phase Tubular Linear Switched Reluctance Motor

In this paper, a novel three-phase tubular linear switched reluctance motor (TLSRM) is proposed. Unlike traditional TLSRM structures, in which the windings are wound on each stator pole, the proposed motor stator adopts hybrid poles, including exciting poles and auxiliary poles. The windings are only wound on the exciting poles, and the auxiliary poles are only used to form magnetic flux loop. Compared with traditional TLSRM, the proposed motor has a higher electromagnetic thrust density. To verify the proposed structure, characteristics of the proposed structure are obtained by the finite element method (FEM). At the same time, the traditional TLSRM is also analyzed and compared. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed structure is verified by analysis results.
