Schiff base ligands and their associated transition metal complexes have played a crucial role in covering a fundamental aspect of chemistry. Aniline-derived Schiff base metal complexes represent a captivating convergence of chemical synthesis and biological applications, offering a rich landscape of versatile compounds. This comprehensive review meticulously examines the synthesis methodologies, characterization techniques and multifaceted biological applications of these complexes. The synthesis pathways involving aniline-based Schiff base ligands and their subsequent coordination with diverse metal ions are critically analyzed, emphasizing the degrees of complex formation.
